Retard-O-Bot

Retard-O-Bot is an American post-industrial and electropunk band originally formed in 1999 in Tampa, Florida. Known for their high-energy, aggressive sound and theatrical stage antics, they blend heavy synthesizer beats, punk rock elements, and a combination of punk screams and rap-style vocals. Mashing up post-industrial, electropunk, and alternative rock, band members Peter Pepper (lead vocals and songwriter), TJ Brainz (drums), and Benny Normal (keyboards, bass) created heavy pounding songs laden with rapid-fire drums, distorted guitars, high-pitched screams blazing synth riffs. The band became known for their chaotic, high-energy live performances. Early in their career, they famously performed in handmade cardboard robot suits which became a fan tradition seeing rabid fans do battle in robot mosh pits and self-destruct in the process. Most recently Retard-O-Bot have released a series of Lost Sessions EPs, as well as "Story Arc", and the 2025 single "Monday Night Electropunk" which is their most successful single released to date.
