Reverend John Wheeler

Reverend John Wheeler (John Wheeler IV) is a Minneapolis-based musician and producer best known as the frontman and co-founder of the industrial math-metal and electropunk band Screaming Mechanical Brain (SMB). Originally formed in 2001 under the name Screaming Monkey Boner, SMB became known for their boundary-pushing, heavy-electronic, and "circus music" sound. Wheeler acted as the band's frontman, singer, programmer, and songwriter across all releases like The Process of Assimilation, There is No God in Space, and The Policy of Unilateral Hate. The band officially disbanded in 2013. Following the end of SMB, Wheeler launched full-force into creating provocative and innovative original music and producing powerful remixes. Additionally, Wheeler also joined the band Blue Felix for several tours on bass, and spearheaded side projects like MyZero. He remains highly active as a solo electronic artist, regularly producing energetic and hard hitting music, remixing tracks for artists across heavy music, and releasing content on his official socials, including the series Alchemical Cocktail Lounge, and the Reverend Joh.
